Spaces and furnitures are not just “structural boxes” but they both play a fundamental role from an educational and communicative point of view.
The environment is equipped and designed to fit with the abilities and the needs of the children such as safety, recognition, exploration and independence.
It is made of details, tiny and welcoming, esthetically pleasant but also adequate from an acoustic perspective, so to implicitly play its educational role.

According to Loris Malaguzzi, founder of the Reggio Emilia approach, the environment represents the “third teacher”.
Family District believes that the quality of learning is also a function of the quality of the spaces we are surrounded by, and therefore it depends on the space and sensorial elements which include architecture, furnitures and also lights, colors and acoustics.

Our spaces are projected in a way that combines both functionality and aesthetic sensibility, with always in mind the image of a competent child, an explorer with “hundred languages” and great capabilities.
